Inspiring Half-Day Youth Gathering at Sanquelim Parish
Goa, Sanquelim Parish recently witnessed an energetic and vibrant gathering as approximately 20 youth came together for a meaningful half-day Youth Day celebration. Organized and guided by Sr. Gracy Rodrigues and Sr. Swetha Peraira, the event was thoughtfully curated to foster fellowship, spiritual growth, and personal connection among the young parishioners.
The half-day program struck a wonderful balance between reflection and recreation. It kicked off with an engaging interactive session that encouraged the youth to think deeply about their roles in the church and society. This was followed by a series of entertaining and team-building games that brought out bursts of laughter, high energy, and wonderful camaraderie.
A central highlight of the gathering was the open-sharing and group discussion segments. The youth actively participated, voicing their thoughts, sharing personal experiences, and discussing ways to stay connected to their faith while actively contributing to parish life.
The event concluded on a deeply spiritual note with a prayer service held in the chapel, conducted by Sr. Theresa Ferrao, the animator of the community. Initiatives like this, driven by the dedicated efforts of Sr. Gracy, Sr. Swetha, and Sr. Theresa, go a long way in nurturing the spiritual and social growth of the parish’s younger generation.
