St. Ann’s Home for the Aged, situated in Angelore, Mangaluru, is a residential care home that provides shelter, care, and support to elderly women. Many of them are entrusted to the home by their children who seek a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for their mothers, particularly when they are working abroad or are unable to provide the necessary care due to other commitments.

The Sisters, along with the nursing staff and other helpers, extend their utmost care and attention to the residents, ensuring that they live with dignity, comfort, and a sense of belonging. The home provides a peaceful, safe, and supportive environment suited to their needs. Special attention is given to their overall well-being, including their physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. The residents are provided with nutritious food, personal care, companionship, and medical assistance as and when required.

A team of doctors from reputed hospitals visits the home regularly for medical check-ups and to monitor the health of the residents. In addition, groups of physiotherapy and Master of Social Work (MSW) students visit the home for internships and fieldwork, gaining practical experience in elderly care while contributing to the well-being of the residents.

Through the dedicated service and compassionate presence of the Sisters and staff, St. Ann’s Home for the Aged strives to make the later years of the residents’ lives peaceful, meaningful, and fulfilling. The home endeavours to create a family-like atmosphere where every elderly woman feels loved, respected, valued, and cared for, enabling her to live this stage of life with dignity and security.
