Day of Grace and Gratitude
The atmosphere at St. Ann’s Home for the Aged in Angelore was filled with warmth, joy, and deep reverence as the inmates, management, and staff came together on 26.07.2026 to celebrate Grandparents’ Day with great enthusiasm.
The celebrations commenced with a solemn and spiritually uplifting Holy Eucharistic Mass, presided over by Fr. Henry, SJ. In his inspiring homily, Fr. Henry reflected on the invaluable role that elders play as the pillars of families and society. He emphasized that grandparents are the living archives of wisdom, faith, and unconditional love, reminding everyone present of the blessing of having elders to guide and nurture younger generations. The prayers during the Mass were specially dedicated to the health, well-being, and peace of all the resident seniors.
Following the liturgical service, a heartwarming wishing was unfolded. The Sister Nurses & caregivers went from person to person, extending heartfelt greetings, affectionate wishes, and tokens of appreciation to each elderly resident. Smiles lit up the faces of the grandparents as they shared stories, laughter, and lighthearted moments with the visiting guests and staff.
The day served as a beautiful reminder of the dignity, love, and care due to the elderly, fostering a deep sense of belonging and community family within the walls of St. Ann’s Home. The celebration concluded on a joyful note with fellowship and sweet treats, leaving cherished memories for everyone in attendance.
