Our Province
The Divine Providence of God blessed our Indian Mission into five Provinces in the year 2018. The Province of St. Joseph Western India was erected on 3rd June 2018. The territorial jurisdiction of the Province comprises the States of Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra. The seat of the Provincial is situated at Angelore, Mangalore.
There are 25 communities and an overseas mission in the Archdiocese of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Main apostolate is Education. Thousands of little children and young adults form themselves by receiving value based quality education imparted by the sisters especially in the remotest villages. Implementing the Barolian method of ‘Pedagogy of the heart’ we shape and mould the character of children in order to prepare them to be responsible and empowered citizens.
Apart from the education we are involved in health care, counselling, care for the elderly and differently abled and social work.
